CCSC members are invited to participate in a FREE Basic IDPA fundamentals class.

"Date to be annouced for the fall 2008 (please check for date)".

This presentation / class will be for NEW shooters and will be taught by one of the CCSC club members.

We will go over basic fundamentals:

• • Safety
  • Stance
  • Pistol grip
  • Pistol draw from holster
  • Magazines
  • Targeting (using your sights)
  • Loading/reloading/unloading
  • Shooting (trigger control)
  • Moving
  • IDPA commands
  • IDPA scoring
  • Malfunctions
  • Classifications and the Classifier
  • IDPA Rules

This is meant for shooters to learn the basics needed for shooting IDPA as well as some basic shooting drills and tactics. The class is interactive and gives the student an opportunity to be able to ask questions.

Emphasis is on:

• • Safety
  • What you need to practice and drill as a new shooter to build your fundamentals so as to progress as a shooter.

Equipment needed for participation:

• • A good attitude
  • Ear and Eye protection
  • Pistol
  • Holster
  • 2 magazines (minimal)
  • 2 Speed-loaders/moon clips (revolvers only)
  • Magazine carrier
  • 150 rounds of ammo
  • Cover garment
